In January 2024, HBKU partnered with Qatar National Library (QNL) in Marana - Qatar Research Repository to showcase and provide free access to the university's research output, including, but not limited to articles, conference papers, research data, and students' capstones, theses and dissertations.
Manara not only provides open access to the research of HBKU and other academic and research entities in Qatar, but also preserves this content to ensure its longevity for future generations.
The repository is discoverable by Google and Google Scholar, as well as HBKU Library's federated search engine, which increase visibility and reach of the deposited resources.
The content within Manara is not limited to conventional research material, but also includes non-traditional items such as preprints, poster presentations, software, reports, datasets, etc.
