Start with the HBKU Template
Start writing your thesis using the HBKU template to adhere to the HBKU formatting guidelines.
Advisor → Student
The advisor guides the student with:
- Selection of the project/thesis/dissertation topic
- Direction of the workflow of the student on the topic
- Referring to HBKU template and Library resources
- How to properly respect copyright and avoid plagiarism
When the work is completed, the advisor is expected to
- Review the draft and generate the similarity report of the final project/thesis/dissertation.
- Sign the Committee form on the final PDF
- Ask the Dean to authenticate the Committee form of the final PDF by signing it after all other signatures have been collected
Committee Members → Student
The committee members are expected to:
- Assess student's work on the project/thesis/dissertation
- Provide feedback during and after defense (verbal and/or in writing)
- Sign the Committee form on the final PDF
