The use of a citation management tool is highly recommended as it helps the user organize sources of information and create citations and bibliographies for books, articles, websites and more. The tool works with word-processing softwares to insert properly in-text citations into a paper and create a properly formatted bibliography.
HBKU Library provides its members with access to RefWorks via ProQuest using their HBKU email address. Students may also use other freely available tools, such as Mendeley or Zotero.
For creating automatic citations in footnotes, such as in the case of the Bluebook style, Zotero is the recommended tool for this style. You may refer to this step by step guide on using this tool.
As of Sept. 25, 2023, Mendeley supports citations in footnotes style, i.e. bluebook.
OSCOLA and Bluebook are used at the College of Law at HBKU as citation styles in the courses.
HBKU Librarians are glad to assist HBKU members in using any of these tools. Appointments can be scheduled for one-on-one support at a convenient time.
